Learn how mod podge can deck out your DIY:
Mod podge can spice up any DIY project. Whether you need to decorate your product or just the container it comes in, mod podge can do the job. I have used mod podge for a borage of projects from homemade coasters, to fancying up the containers of my DIY goodies.
It’s so easy and it makes your products so pretty for gift exchanges. Take notes. It only takes a few minutes to turn your plain jars into masterpieces. You can mod podge over any image. How cool is that? I made my husband some custom Star Wars coasters by simply printing his favorite scenes from the movie, and mod podging them onto some tiles from the hardware store. This made for an awesome and adorable gift.
This year, I made some salt soaks, and sugar scrubs, as well as some Christmas goodies, and decked out the mason jars to create a festive look for my Christmas gifts. I also made play dough for the kiddos and decorated their containers.
As I said, you can turn anything around. All you need is some mod podge, a foam brush (or paint brush), and some paper with a pattern or image you like. Scrapbook paper is my “go to”. It’s easy for me to just cut a pattern to size and slap it on. I suggest the foam brush so you don’t run the risk of bristles coming off onto your product.
First, you apply mod podge to the clean surface where you want to place your image. Next, place your paper. Lastly, apply a coat over the paper. It’s that simple!
